The Fabulous Me PR & Media Company Ltd is delighted to announce that WO1 Johnson Beharry VC, one of Britain's most celebrated military heroes, will be taking part in this year's Tankfest in what promises to be an unforgettable and deeply emotional moment.
More than twenty years after the extraordinary acts of courage that earned him the Victoria Cross – Britain's highest award for gallantry – Johnson will once again take the controls of a Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle, the very type of vehicle that became synonymous with his bravery under fire during the Iraq War.
Johnson made history when he became the first living recipient of the Victoria Cross in nearly four decades. His selfless actions in Iraq saved the lives of fellow soldiers during intense enemy attacks, earning him a place among the nation's greatest military heroes.
Returning to Tankfest, the world's largest display of historic and modern armoured vehicles, Johnson will share his memories of service, reflect on the experiences that shaped his life and meet military enthusiasts, veterans and members of the public from across the country.
Speaking about the event, Johnson has described the opportunity to get behind the controls of a Warrior once again as both humbling and emotional, bringing back memories of comradeship, service and sacrifice.
