Victoria Cross Hero Johnson Beharry Returns to the Driver's Seat at Tankfest
The Fabulous Me PR & Media Company Ltd is delighted to announce that WO1 Johnson Beharry VC, one of Britain's most celebrated military heroes, will be taking part in this year's Tankfest in what promises to be an unforgettable and deeply emotional moment.
More than twenty years after the extraordinary acts of courage that earned him the Victoria Cross – Britain's highest award for gallantry – Johnson will once again take the controls of a Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle, the very type of vehicle that became synonymous with his bravery under fire during the Iraq War.
Johnson made history when he became the first living recipient of the Victoria Cross in nearly four decades. His selfless actions in Iraq saved the lives of fellow soldiers during intense enemy attacks, earning him a place among the nation's greatest military heroes.
Returning to Tankfest, the world's largest display of historic and modern armoured vehicles, Johnson will share his memories of service, reflect on the experiences that shaped his life and meet military enthusiasts, veterans and members of the public from across the country.
Speaking about the event, Johnson has described the opportunity to get behind the controls of a Warrior once again as both humbling and emotional, bringing back memories of comradeship, service and sacrifice.
The appearance offers a rare chance for the public to meet a living Victoria Cross recipient and hear first-hand about courage, resilience and leadership under the most extreme circumstances.
At a time when the stories of our veterans are more important than ever, Johnson's participation serves as a powerful reminder of the bravery and dedication of the men and women who have served their country.

Jim, widely known as Vic Reeves, is a British comedy icon, best known for Reeves and Mortimer and Shooting Stars, which earned both commercial success and a devoted cult following. A versatile talent, Jim is also an actor and presenter and has been practising art since his early childhood. His work has been exhibited at prestigious venues including the Saatchi Gallery in London, the Royal Academy, and the Royal Watercolour Society, as well as in solo shows at The Lady Lever Gallery in the Wirral and Cartwright Hall in Bradford. Nancy is known for her vibrant personality who has seamlessly transitioned from a successful modelling career to becoming a TV personality, presenter, influencer, and beauty and fashion expert. A familiar and much-loved face on British television, she has appeared on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, Shooting Stars, Come Dine with Me, The Friday Night Project, and Let's Dance for Comic Relief, among many others. Away from the screen, Nancy is a passionate birdwatcher and an inspiring speaker, delighting audiences with stories from her career alongside tips on spotting the best birds across the UK. Together, Jim and Nancy combine decades of creative experience with a genuine passion for birds and the natural world, making every event a celebration of art, wildlife, and wonderful storytelling.
